La gomera wheather / Climate
One of the best things about the La Gomera island, is that it generally maintains its temperature between 22ºC and 28ºC during the day and 15ºC and 21ºC during the night, which means that the days are nice and warm and the nights are kind of chilly.
Nevertheless, it is very important to consider that the climate may vary slightly depending on the altitude and the place where you stay; while the northern part is more humid, rainy, colder and with mist and clouds due to the trade winds, the south side is hotter.
In the same way, the mountains and hills are cooler as you go up, while the coasts are perfect and sunny with a little chilly sea during winter, however, the cold water is not a big deal.
Thanks to its almost unalterable temperatures, La Gomera is perfect to visit during all seasons, but, if you are interested in a specific activity, such as hiking or enjoying the beaches, there are seasons which are better than others.
If you are interested in excursions to explore the cities and mountains and learn about the culture of the island, it is best to travel during April and May when the temperature is approximately 24ºC. On the other hand, the beach weather is perfect from May to mid-October when the rainy days are very scarce and the water temperature is about 23º.
Moreover, although during the winter there may be some days with bad weather, there is still the chance of enjoying sunny and warm days because the island is near the coasts of Africa and it is not so cold during that season.
